Women Can Change The World By Denying Men Sex

No Sex For Mean Humans

Yo, Ladies!

I just watched the most excellent TV series on the planet, which showcased wonderful film footage of the elusive dancing “Bird of Paradise”. The filmmaker had to wait over 5 weeks to get a single clip of the colorful, artistic males dancing to impress the picky females, who would deny the male sex or the opportunity to mate if her suitor didn’t please her enough.

Boy, that sounds like any local happy hour to me!

Basically, the female birds have made their men dance and do what it takes in order to get laid. Maybe the women of the world need to take a cue from nature and start denying sex to badly behaving men who trash the planet, wage war, or aren’t getting with the “save the planet” program.

Right now, we may be in a “look at me” culture of Girls Gone Wild, but that must soon change – as much as I like all the hotties. So here are the new rules, ladies!

Good boys reuse containers before they recycle. Good boys treat the earth and one another wisely. Only the good boys get the nookie.

Good boys learn to grow food at home. Good boys ride bikes instead of driving cars. Only the good boys get the nookie.

Good boys learn to live green, live local, and live light. Good boys have to earn the right. Only the good boys get the nookie.

Ever heard of the ancient Greek play “Lysistrata”? The ladies withhold sex until the men stop fighting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysistrata

This happened in a city in Colombia, when gang members’ wives and girlfriends refused them sex in a bid to reduce gun violence in the city: http://tinyurl.com/hzprg .

It also happened in a town in Turkey where the local water supply was insufficient… the problem was soon resolved: http://tinyurl.com/2dj8vp .

“Only good boys” … your choose of words certainly seems to condescend to the male gender. Imagine if a man wrote “only good girls who put out get the X” where X equals whatever?!

Perhaps that was inadvertent. Still, the whole notion of “denying” sex to the other gender seems to overlook the fact that sex is, in a healthy relationship, a mutual giving/receiving act of love. The idea of undermining this by turning sex into a weapon disappoints me to say the least.

Further than that, if someone’s against being treated like a commodity, or sexually objectified, I’d suggest they stop trying to commodify sex itself by treating it as an instrument of coercion.

I’m sure there a lot of great ideas on this blog, but this is definitely not one of them! I’d rather folks try to get together, not come up with new ways to stay apart (politically, mentally, socially, & physically!)…

Wow, you took it literally? You seem smarter than that. I’ll bet you are, which is why if you DO read more posts on this blog, you’ll see that it is full of sarcasm mixed with general ideas and philosophical panderings for reworking society as we run out of oil.

Besides, as society crashes, sex will remain a barter currency as it has always been.

of all the things said, every one of you zeroed in on the sex?? maybe we should make an effort to think a little bigger and avoid the clichés. or maybe sex really is the only way to solve the world´s problems…
